You could be entitled to a free Alton Towers trip if you visited the theme park on these dates
There have been 16 'rainy days' declared by the Staffordshire theme park so far this year
It's been a rather wet summer so far, which has put a dampener on some school holiday plans. But adrenaline junkies who pulled on a poncho and visited Alton Towers anyway could be entitled to a free return trip.
Poor weather conditions can cause disruption at the Staffordshire theme park, with some rides being forced to close. To make up for this, the park has a policy in place, which allows guests to come back to experience the full offering another day.
But there is a catch - it must rain for more than an hour to qualify as a 'rainy day'. Bosses have declared 16 so far this year, with all the dates listed below.
